Hello

My name is Haley Slaughter. I became a dyslexia specialist in Waco ISD 15 years ago and have been growing my knowledge ever since. I have a professional and personal attachment to dyslexia as my two sons have both been diagnosed as dyslexic. I have 17 years in education. I have been everything from a P.E. teacher and coach to a 5th-grade classroom teacher as well as a reading and math SIT (intervention) teacher. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Jace, for 13 years and have made our home in Waco, Texas. We have three wonderful kids that range in age from 4-11. We enjoy sports, being outdoors, and cooking. You can always find us at some type of field.

I became a CALT in May of 2023 and a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist in the State of Texas in April of 2024. I have been with the Waco ISD dyslexia department for 14 years. I strive to make people the best version of themselves, especially in their academics.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
   I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.     ~Psalm 32:8
