At Haley Slaughter Reading Therapy, we prioritize your student's educational success. Our Academic Language Therapy is scientific-based reading instruction that is explicit and systematic. The MTA program is derived from Orton Gillingham. The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia (Ortonacademy.org). MTA has seven structured kits that stair step with each building upon knowledge from the previous.
